The Gear library is your reusable kit. Anything you might race with lives here once — apparel, footwear, packs, lights, nutrition — and you attach the right items to the right checkpoints when you build a plan. If you race more than one ultra a year, this is where you’ll save the most time. Build your gear list once, reach for the same items across every plan.

What goes in here

Five built-in categories cover most ultras:
  • Apparel — shirts, jackets, shorts, tights, gloves, buffs.
  • Footwear — shoes for each terrain, spare laces, gaiters.
  • Electronics — watch, headlamp, backup light, charging cable, power bank.
  • Equipment — pack, vest, poles, hydration bladder, soft flasks.
  • Fueling — gels, bars, drink mix, salt, real food.
Each item can have a photo, a weight, a quantity, and a note.

Attach to checkpoints

The real value happens inside a plan. On the Gear step of the planner, you assign items to checkpoints:
  • What’s on you at the start — race kit, shoes, headlamp.
  • What you swap at an aid station — fresh shirt, new socks, jacket on.
  • What’s waiting in a drop bag — spare shoes, full battery pack, more fuel.
Once assigned, the mobile app reminds you at each checkpoint what to grab, swap, or pack.

Linked products

If you’re an athlete brand or partner, gear items can link to a product page. Useful for sponsored races where the organizer wants athletes to see specific brands at each aid station.
